Change your language and region
Every page has a flag (or globe) button in the top bar. Use it to switch the language and region the site is shown in. The choice is remembered on this device, and signed-in members can also set a default under Account → Preferences → Language & region.
The Change language and region button in the top bar of every page — the public site, your Dashboard, and your Account settings. It shows the flag and language code currently in use (for example 🇺🇸 EN).
How to switch
Section titled “How to switch”- Click the flag (or globe) in the top bar. A Country & language menu opens with a search box.
- Pick a country, then one of the languages spoken there — or type in the search box:
a language name in your own alphabet, an English name such as Farsi, a country, or a
code such as
fr-CA.
- A Switching language… notice appears, showing the flag, language and country you chose, while the page loads in that language. It disappears as soon as the new page is ready.
Where you land
Section titled “Where you land”| The page you were on… | You land on… |
|---|---|
| …exists in the language you chose | The same page, in that language. Guides and articles whose web address is translated take you to the translated address automatically. |
| …has not been published in that language yet | The home page of the new language — the site home on the public site, or the landing page of the app you are in (Dashboard, Account). |
How the page wording is translated
Section titled “How the page wording is translated”Buttons, menus, headings and messages are translated into every language UPC offers. Most of the wording added in 2026 was translated by machine, one language group at a time, and is waiting for review by native speakers, so a phrase can read stiffly or use an unusual word. If you spot one, tell us with the page address, your language and the wording: the fix lands in every place that wording appears.
If something looks off
Section titled “If something looks off”- A few items may still read in English — see Some names appear in English.
- If the notice stays up for more than a few seconds, your connection is slow; the page finishes loading on its own and the notice clears itself.
