One United Pet Club account signs you in everywhere — the public site, your account dashboard, your pet and business dashboards, and your pets’ ID pages. This page covers the sign-in screen, the ways to sign in, and what to do if you’re locked out.
Click Sign in in the top bar of any United Pet Club site, or go straight to
account.unitedpetclub.com. You’ll see the Welcome back! screen.
Your email, phone number or username
Section titled “Your email, phone number or username”The first box on the sign-in screen, Email, phone or username, takes any one of these:
- An email address on your account — the one you registered with, or any other address you have verified under Contact → Emails.
- Your username — see Choose your username.
- A phone number you have verified under
Contact → Phones. Type it with the country code, e.g.
+1 604 555 1234— spaces, dashes and brackets are fine. Without the country code the number isn’t recognised.
An address or number that is still Pending (you never entered its code) can’t sign you in, and neither can one you’ve removed.
Sign in with your password
Section titled “Sign in with your password”- Enter your email, phone number or username in Email, phone or username.
- Enter your Password. Click the eye icon to show or hide what you’ve typed.
- Click Sign in.
You land on your account overview — or, if you were sent to sign in from another page, back on that page.
If either box is wrong you’ll see a single “invalid credentials” message. For your safety it never says which one was wrong, so double-check both. If you can’t remember the password, use Forgot your password? below.
Sign in with a passkey
Section titled “Sign in with a passkey”A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face, device screen lock or a security key instead of a password. You need to have added one first — see Passkeys.
- Enter your email, phone number or username in Email, phone or username. The passkey button stays greyed out until you do (“Enter your email, phone or username to use a passkey.”).
- Click Sign in with a passkey.
- Approve the prompt from your browser or device.
The button only appears on browsers and devices that support passkeys.
Sign in with a code by text message
Section titled “Sign in with a code by text message”If your phone number is verified on your account, you can sign in with a 6-digit code we text to it instead of your password.
- In Email, phone or username, type your phone number with its country code, e.g.
+1 604 555 1234. - Click Text me a code instead. The button appears as soon as the number is complete.
- Type the 6-digit code from the text in Code from the text and click Sign in.
Good to know:
- The code works for 5 minutes. If it doesn’t arrive, wait a minute and click Text a new code. You can ask for up to five codes an hour.
- The screen says If •••• 1234 is on an account, we texted it a 6-digit code — for your safety it never says whether a number is registered.
- If you have two-step verification on, you still finish with your second step (your authenticator app, an email code, a passkey or a recovery code). A second text to the same phone doesn’t count as a second step. If text messages are your only second step, sign in with your password instead.
- Five wrong codes in a row cancel the code; ask for a new one. Wrong codes count toward the account lock, just like wrong passwords.
- Typed the number without its country code? The form reminds you to add it.
Sign in with Google, Microsoft, Apple or Facebook
Section titled “Sign in with Google, Microsoft, Apple or Facebook”Under Or continue with, click the provider you’d like to use and approve the request on their site. What happens next depends on whether we already know that login:
- You’ve signed in with it before (or connected it under Linked accounts) — you come straight back signed in.
- No account yet — you’re taken to the signup form with your email and name filled in from the provider. Every account needs an email address and a password, so you still confirm the email with a code and choose a password; from then on that provider signs you in directly. See Create an account → Signing up with Google, Microsoft, Apple or Facebook.
- An account already exists for that email, but it was created with a password — you’ll see “An account already exists for the email on your Google login…”. Sign in with your password, then connect the provider under Linked accounts; it works next time. We never attach a social login to an existing account by email alone.
- Google, Microsoft and Facebook are available today; Apple is still being set up. If you pick a provider that isn’t available yet you’ll see a short message saying so — sign in another way.
- If you cancel on the provider’s page, or the provider reports a problem, you land back on the sign-in screen with a short message and nothing has changed.
Staying signed in
Section titled “Staying signed in”After you sign in on one United Pet Club site you’re signed in on all of them — no need to sign in again when you move from the public site to your dashboard. Your sign-in lasts up to about a week on that browser, and longer while you keep using the site, unless you sign out or change your password.
To end your session, use Sign out in the account menu. To sign out of every device at once, see Sessions.
Forgot your password?
Section titled “Forgot your password?”- On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password?.
- Enter your Email and submit.
- You’ll see a confirmation straight away. If there is an account for that email, a reset link is on its way — check your spam folder if it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes. (The message is the same whether or not the address is registered.)
- Open the link in the email. Enter your new password twice and submit. Passwords must be at least 8 characters.
- You’ll see “Your password has been reset. Please sign in.” — sign in with the new password.
Reset links are single-use and expire. If you see a message that the link is invalid or has expired, click the button to request a fresh one.
If something went wrong
Section titled “If something went wrong”| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| ”Invalid credentials” after clicking Sign in | The email, phone number or username, or the password, didn’t match | Check for typos and caps lock. Type a phone number with its country code — only a verified number works. Reset the password if unsure. |
| Sign in with a passkey is greyed out | Email, phone or username is still empty | Type your email, phone number or username first. |
| No passkey button at all | This browser or device doesn’t support passkeys | Use your password or a social sign-in. |
| ”… sign-in isn’t configured yet.” | That social provider isn’t available yet | Choose another method. |
| ”An account already exists for the email on your … login” | That email has a password account the provider isn’t connected to | Sign in with your password, then connect the provider under Linked accounts. |
| A social sign-in lands you on the signup form | We have no finished account for that login yet | Finish the form — confirm your email and choose a password; the provider signs you in from then on. |
| Too many attempts in a short time | Sign-in is temporarily throttled | Wait a minute and try again. |
| No Text me a code instead button | Text sign-in isn’t on yet, or the number has no country code | Add the country code (+1 …), or sign in with your password. |
| ”That code didn’t work” | The code was mistyped, expired after 5 minutes, or was replaced by a newer one | Check the latest text, or click Text a new code. |
| No text arrives | The number isn’t a verified number on any account, or it’s had five codes this hour | Check the number, or sign in with your password. |
| ”This account needs its password to sign in” | Your only second step is a text to the same phone | Sign in with your password and your text code. |
| Signed in, but an action says you’re signed out | Your session expired in the background | Reload the page; if it persists, sign in again. |
