WhatsApp reminders
Groomers, trainers and other pet professionals on United Pet Club send you a few short text messages around each booking — the confirmation, a reminder the day before, and “on my way” or “ready for pickup”. Sign-in codes can come the same way. By default these arrive as SMS. If you would rather get them on WhatsApp, you can — the messages come from the United Pet Club WhatsApp Business number and name the shop in the text.
There is nothing to pay and nothing to install beyond WhatsApp itself. WhatsApp only lets a business start a conversation with people who agreed to it, so your first message to us is the opt-in.
Switching to WhatsApp
Section titled “Switching to WhatsApp”- Tap Message us on WhatsApp where you see it — on a booking page, a confirmation email, or the shop’s page. It opens WhatsApp in a chat with United Pet Club with START already typed. Send it.
- That is all. From then on, texts about your bookings go to WhatsApp for that phone number.
Replying to any WhatsApp message from United Pet Club does the same thing — a reply is also consent — and it keeps a 24-hour “conversation window” open, during which the shop’s messages reach you as plain chat messages.
Switching back to SMS, or off
Section titled “Switching back to SMS, or off”Send STOP on WhatsApp and no further texts will be sent to that number on any channel; message us again to turn them back on. If you have an account, you can choose for each of your own phone numbers:
- In your account, open Notifications → Notification channels.
- In the WhatsApp card, each verified phone number on your account has its own row. Pick WhatsApp, SMS or None for it.
Only your own verified numbers are listed, and only they can be changed: nobody can switch someone else’s number off. If a number is missing, add and verify it under Contact › Phones first. If a number’s choice can’t be loaded or saved for a moment, try again shortly; nothing changes until it can.
What if WhatsApp can’t reach me?
Section titled “What if WhatsApp can’t reach me?”- The number isn’t on WhatsApp. The message is sent by SMS instead, once, and the number stays on SMS until it messages United Pet Club on WhatsApp again.
- It has been more than a day since you last wrote. Outside that window WhatsApp only allows pre-approved message layouts; United Pet Club uses one when it has it and falls back to SMS when it doesn’t. You do not need to do anything.
Either way the message reaches you; only the channel changes.
