My Profile, My Business and My Place

The Dashboard sidebar has one section for the profile you’re acting as: how it looks to others, from your portfolio and photos to your handle and contact details. It is named for the kind of profile, and each kind gets only the pages that fit it:

You’re acting asThe section is calledWhat it adds
A personal profileMy ProfileYour Portfolio (your Career Portfolio) and your professions (Specializations)
A business (an organization)My BusinessHours, Addresses, Brand & Locations, Specializations
A place (a park, a beach, a venue)My PlaceHours and Location

All three also have Overview, Work samples, Certificates & Awards, Photos, Handles and Contact. Certificates & Awards (right after Work samples, since 2026-10-09) holds the awards, badges and certificates others gave the profile: awards you record and their givers confirm, awards a business gives you to accept, and, on a business, the awards it gives.

Your plan, gifts and other settings are in the Settings section at the bottom of the sidebar (since 2026-10-09):

The section sits near the top of the sidebar, right after Messages. On a personal profile its first link is Portfolio, then Overview; on a business or a place it starts with Overview. Overview opens the section’s own page: /dashboard/my-profile, /dashboard/business or /dashboard/place. On a phone, open More and choose the section’s tile: it opens your portfolio on a personal profile, and the overview on a business or a place.

The overview shows your profile’s name, its @handle and its kind (Personal profile, Business profile or Place). Edit details opens the profile on your account site, where you change its name, description and other details.

Below it is a tile for each page of the section, with a line saying what it’s for (the Certificates & Awards tile, for example: Awards, badges and certificates given to this profile.). Two tiles also tell you how things stand right now:

  • Hours says what today looks like: Today: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Closed today, Open 24 hours today, By appointment today, or Not set yet.
  • Addresses (on a place, Location) shows the primary address, or No address yet.

If you open another kind’s page (an old bookmark, or a link from before you switched profiles), the Dashboard takes you to your own profile’s overview instead.

My Business → Hours or My Place → Hours (/dashboard/hours). Each day of the week has a row with a status:

StatusWhat it means
OpenOpen during the hours you enter. A day can have up to three blocks, for example 9:00–12:00 and 13:00–17:00 to show a lunch break.
ClosedClosed all day.
Open 24 hoursOpen around the clock.
By appointment onlyVisits by appointment. Adding times is optional; use them to say when appointments are available.

To set your hours:

  1. Pick a status for each day.
  2. For an open day, enter Opens and Closes. Choose Add hours for a second or third block, and the × next to a block to remove it.
  3. To give every day the same hours, set one day and choose Copy to every day on it.
  4. Choose Save hours.

If you haven’t set any hours yet, the page starts with Monday to Friday open 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and the weekend closed. Nothing is saved until you choose Save hours.

The page checks your hours before saving and marks any problem on its row:

  • Enter an opening and a closing time. A block is missing a time.
  • The closing time must be after the opening time. Hours that run past midnight aren’t supported yet, so end the block at 11:59 PM and start the next day at 12:00 AM.
  • These hours overlap. Two blocks on the same day cover the same time. Blocks may touch: 9:00–12:00 and 12:00–17:00 is fine.

Discard changes puts back what’s saved. Clear hours removes all your hours after you confirm; your profile then shows no opening hours until you set them again.

Your hours show on your profile page and your website.

If your business is a location of a brand, the Hours page starts with a Weekly hours card that asks where this location’s week comes from:

ChoiceWhat happens
Use {brand}‘s hoursWhen {brand} changes its hours, this location follows. The card shows {brand}‘s week, read-only, and the weekly editor is hidden.
Set my own hoursThis location keeps its own week. The weekly editor appears below and works as described above.

To change one location’s hours while it follows the brand, choose Override under the brand’s week (Start your own week from these hours.): the location switches to its own hours, starting from the brand’s current week, and you edit from there. Saving your own week always makes the hours this location’s own.

Switching back to Use {brand}‘s hours keeps the week you had set, so choosing Set my own hours again later brings it back. A location you add from the brand uses the brand’s hours from the start. If the brand hasn’t set its hours yet, the card says {brand} hasn’t set its hours yet.

On the brand’s own Hours page you set the week its locations follow: Your brand’s week and holiday hours. Locations that use the brand’s hours follow them.

The Holidays card below your week (Choose how you open on public holidays.) lists the public holidays where your business is, taken from your primary address: the line under the title says which, for example Public holidays in BC, Canada. National holidays and your province’s or state’s own holidays are both listed; holidays of other provinces are not.

Each holiday has three choices:

ChoiceWhat it means
ClosedClosed all day. Customers can’t book you that day.
Usual hoursOpen as on any other day of that week.
Special hoursOpen only between the times you enter, for example 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. One block per holiday.

To set your holiday hours:

  1. In All other holidays (Used for every holiday you don’t set on its own.), pick what you usually do on a public holiday. If most holidays you’re closed, choose Closed here and you’re done with most of the list.
  2. Under Next 12 months, find a holiday you handle differently and pick Closed, Usual hours or Special hours for it.
  3. For Special hours, enter the opening and closing times (they start at 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and choose Save. The closing time must be after the opening time.

Closed and Usual hours save as soon as you pick them; there is no separate save button. A setting for a holiday applies every year that holiday comes round, not just on the date shown.

Each row has a badge saying where its setting comes from:

BadgeMeaning
Your settingYou chose this for this holiday (or, on the All other holidays row, for all of them).
From {brand}Your brand chose it, and this location hasn’t changed it.
DefaultNothing set for this holiday: it follows All other holidays, or, if nothing is set there either, your usual hours.

To undo a choice, use the link under the row: Use brand setting on a location of a brand (the brand’s choice applies again), or Reset otherwise (the holiday goes back to All other holidays).

On a brand’s Hours page the same card sets the holidays for all your locations at once (Choose how your locations open on public holidays. A location can change its own.). It lists the holidays of every province or state your locations are in, each tagged with where it applies — All of Canada, or the provinces’ codes. A location follows the brand’s choice until it picks its own on its Hours page.

If the card shows something else instead of the list:

  • Add your address to see holidays — the list comes from your primary address. Choose Add your address, add it, and come back.
  • Holidays show here once your locations have an address. — on a brand, none of the locations has an address yet.
  • The holiday list can’t be loaded right now. Your settings are kept. Try again later. — a temporary problem; nothing you set is lost, and All other holidays still works.
  • No public holidays in the next 12 months. — nothing to set right now.
  • Your profile page shows Upcoming holiday hours under your opening hours for the next 30 days: each holiday with Closed, its special hours, or Usual hours.
  • Customers can’t book you on a holiday you’ve set to Closed, or outside your Special hours on that day: those times don’t appear when they book online or through Google. If they try a time that just closed, they see Closed at that time and are asked to pick another time.
  • Bookings you make for a client in Schedule are never blocked: you can still open on a holiday for someone on purpose.
  • Your usual weekly opening hours don’t limit bookings on their own: the times customers can book come from your team’s hours in Schedule availability. Holidays you close are the exception.

My Business → Addresses (/dashboard/addresses) or My Place → Location (/dashboard/location) lists the profile’s addresses. The primary address puts the profile on the map and, for a business, sets its service area and shipping origin.

Choose Add address, search for the address and pick a suggestion so its exact location is saved, then choose Save. A new address on a business or place is shown in full by default; you can change that under Visibility. Each address can be edited, made primary or removed. The primary address can’t be removed until another address is made primary.

These are the same addresses as on the profile’s page on your account site, so a change in one place shows in the other.

Opening hours, addresses for customers, booking channels and connected apps (both under Settings) belong to a business profile, not to your personal one. If your personal profile has a profession (a groomer or a pet sitter, for example), My Profile shows a Run a business? card. Create a business profile opens your account site to set one up. Then switch to it from the profile menu at the top of the Dashboard, and you’ll find My Business in the sidebar.

Your personal addresses stay on your account site under Contact → Addresses.
