Bookings from Google
People who find your business on Google Search or Google Maps can book you there, without leaving Google. United Pet Club is the connection: your services, prices and availability go to Google automatically, and the bookings come back into your calendar like any other. There is nothing to pay and nothing to install.
Settings → Booking channels (/dashboard/settings/channels). Booking channels are for business profiles; a personal profile creates a business profile first.
The switch
Section titled “The switch”List on Google is yours. Grooming businesses are switched on from the start; everyone else can switch it on. Switching it off pauses your listing; switching it back on puts you in the next update to Google.
What the badge means
Section titled “What the badge means”| Badge | What is happening |
|---|---|
| Coming soon | Google booking is still being set up on the platform. Nothing to do — your listing goes live on its own once the connection opens. |
| Pending | You are in the next update to Google. It can take a few days for Google to match your business. |
| Live | Your business shows a Book button on Google. |
| Paused | Your listing is switched off. Switch it on to be included again. |
What you need
Section titled “What you need”Google only lists businesses it can place on the map, so three things must be in order:
- A verified business address — the address on your profile, verified. A mobile-only business still needs its base address; it can stay hidden from the directory.
- At least one bookable service with a price — add services under Schedule → Services and give them a price. Services without a price still appear, but without a price shown.
- Weekly availability for at least one staff member — their hours under Schedule → Availability (see Schedule availability).
Google offers the same times as your booking page, including any days you limited a type of service to under When each service type is offered.
Bookings from Google also need your Schedule setup checklist done once it is required: until then, a time someone picks on Google can’t be booked, and Google tells them it’s no longer available.
The What shows on Google card is what Google matches your listing on: your business name, address, phone and website. Keep them current in your profile.
Bookings that come from Google
Section titled “Bookings that come from Google”The Book button Google shows opens your public booking page on United Pet Club
(…/accounts/your-handle/book-appointment). The customer picks the service and a free time, enters
their address when the service comes to them, and books either as a guest with their contact
details or with their own United Pet Club profile. Your policies apply: a service with a deposit is
held and the customer receives your payment link; a service you confirm by hand arrives as a
request. The same page is behind the Book an appointment button on your profile, so a customer
who arrives from Google and one who arrives from your profile go through the same steps.
A Google booking appears in your calendar and appointment list like any other, marked as coming from Google. The customer is added to your clients as a guest with the contact details Google passed on — they have not agreed to marketing, so they do not receive campaigns until they say so themselves.
Your policies apply exactly as on the platform: minimum notice, deposits, cancellation windows. If you cancel or move a Google booking, Google is told and the customer’s confirmation updates.
If something does not look right
Section titled “If something does not look right”- The switch is on but the badge says Pending for a long time — Google has not matched your business yet. Check that the address on your profile is the one Google shows for you.
- I am not a groomer and the switch is off — that is the default; switch it on.
- I switched it off but Google still shows Book — Google updates its listings from our nightly send; allow a day.
