Sharing posts, and liking and reporting comments

You can share a post to your own feed, with a few words of your own above it, or send its link anywhere. Comments can be liked, and a comment that breaks the rules can be reported, just like a post.

My Dashboard (/dashboard/home): Share is the third button under a post, after Like and Comment. Comments open under a post with Comment.

  1. Select Share under the post.
  2. Select Share to your feed. Write something about it if you like (Say something about this…), choose who sees your share, and select Share now. You see Shared to your feed.

Your share shows the post inside it, with its author and when it was posted. The post counts its shares under it (3 shares). Sharing a share shares the original post.

Only public posts can be shared. A post for members, for followers or for its author only shows Share greyed out (Only public posts can be shared), so a share never shows a post to people its author didn’t choose. If the original post is deleted or made private later, your share says This post isn’t available anymore. It may have been deleted or made private.

The Share menu also has:

OptionWhat it does
Copy linkCopies the post’s page on United Pet Club (Link copied)
Share via…Opens your device’s own share menu (phones and some browsers)
Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, EmailOpens that app or a new email with the post’s link

On someone’s public profile page, the same Share sits beside React or comment in the app; Share to your feed in the app opens the app to share it.

Select Like under a comment; select it again to take it back. The number of likes shows in the corner of the comment.

  1. Open the comment’s ⋯ (Comment options) and select Report comment. (Your own comments have no ⋯.)
  2. Pick a reason and add details, as for reporting a post. Copyright and trademark reports ask for the same notice as for a post.
  3. Select Send report. You see Thanks. Our team will review this comment.; if you already reported it, You’ve already reported this comment.

The author isn’t told who reported it. On a public profile page, Report under a comment opens the app to report it.
