Your personal info
Your account holds the things that are about you as a person — your name, how you sign in, your preferences and privacy choices. It is separate from your profiles (your pet-parent, business or place pages) and from the dashboard where you manage pets, files and sales. This page covers the overview and your personal details.
Sign in and you land on My Account — the Overview page (/account/overview). The
left sidebar lists every account area; Personal Info is its own entry.
The overview
Section titled “The overview”Overview — A snapshot of your account, security and active profile. Three cards:
- Active profile — the profile you are currently acting as, with its handle and Followers / Posts counts. A new profile already follows United Pet Club, United Pet Technologies, United Pet Commerce, Hatching Experience and Pet Transport. A pet professional’s profile also follows TapSense and ThermaSense. You can unfollow any of them from their page.
- Security score — a percentage and a checklist: Strong password set, Email verified, Two-factor enabled, Recovery codes saved, Recent activity reviewed. An unfinished item is a link straight to the page that fixes it. Strong password set ticks once your account has a password (every password must meet the strength rules when you set it). Two-factor enabled and Recovery codes saved tick once you have a two-factor method turned on, since your recovery codes are issued with the first one. Recent activity reviewed ticks for 30 days after you open the Activity Log, on any device.
- Active account — the account you belong to, its type (for example Personal (Solo) or Business), its status, Members and Profiles counts, and your default card if you have one on file.
Below them, Manage your account offers six shortcuts — Personal info, Security, Profiles, Billing, Privacy, Members — and Recent activity lists your latest sign-ins and security events when there are any. Go to Your Dashboard at the top takes you to the main dashboard.
Choose your username
Section titled “Choose your username”Your username is the short name United Pet Club shows for you in the header, the
profile switcher and on the lock screen, and it is a second way to sign in. When you
register, United Pet Club gives you a placeholder such as User_4820193857 (the digits are
random). Accounts created before September 2026 were given the email address instead. Either
way, you can replace it with a name of your own at any time.
- Open Personal Info in the sidebar (
/account/personal-info). - In Your details, replace the value in Username.
- Click Save Changes.
Rules for a username:
- 3 to 32 characters.
- Letters, numbers, underscores
_and dots.only — no spaces, no@. - It may not start or end with a dot.
- It must contain at least one letter — a username cannot be only numbers, so it can never be mistaken for a phone number, and it can never be an email address.
- It must be free: if someone else already uses it you will see That username is taken — pick another. A name someone gave up in the last 30 days counts as taken too, so nobody can pick up a name the moment its owner lets it go. (If you gave it up yourself, you can take it back.)
- Some names are reserved: words like
admin, supportornoreply, our own brand names (unitedpetclub, upcand the like, also inside a longer name), and theUser_plus digits shape of the placeholder. Dots and underscores don’t get around this:ad.minis reserved too.
You can change your username once every 30 days. Changing only capital letters (benji to
Benji) is the same name, so it works any time. If you changed it recently, the form tells you the
date you can pick a new one.
As you type, the form checks the name — once you pause, it says That username is available, or why it isn’t — and Save Changes stays off until the name can be saved. Changing your username does not change your email or your password — and adding or switching your default email under Contact → Emails does not change your username either. From then on you can sign in with either your email or your username in the same box on the sign-in page, and your passkey works with both.
Change your name
Section titled “Change your name”- Open Personal Info in the sidebar (
/account/personal-info). - In Your details, edit First name, Last name (up to 100 characters each) and Display name (up to 200 characters — How your name appears).
- Click Save Changes. The button only lights up once you have changed something.
You will see a Profile updated message. If it fails you will see Couldn’t save your details — try again, and if it keeps failing see Contact support.
What you cannot change here
Section titled “What you cannot change here”The Account card is read-only: your Sign-in email (your default address), the Acting profile you are currently signed in as (shown as @handle), Member since and, once you have signed in more than once, Last sign-in. The sign-in email is not edited here — add addresses and pick the default under Contact → Emails (see Account settings → Emails); the @handle is a property of the profile, not of your account — see Managing profiles. Your username, by contrast, is yours to change in Your details above.
Language, timezone and other preferences live under Preferences — see Change your language and region. Email addresses and phone numbers live under Contact — see Account settings.
