Contacting a profile
Every public profile — breeders, clinics, shelters, individual members — has a Message
button. It opens a short form: pick what your message is about (when the profile offers
topics), add an optional subject, and write your message. The platform’s own Contact Us
page (unitedpetclub.com/{locale}/contact) works exactly the same way and reaches the United
Pet Club team.
Beside the form, Other ways to reach them lists whatever the profile has published — a phone number, an email address, their website, their location — along with a Start chat button. Live chat isn’t available yet, so the button is shown disabled with a “coming soon” note; it will light up when chat launches.
Signed in — the conversation lives in your dashboard
Section titled “Signed in — the conversation lives in your dashboard”If you are signed in, the message is sent as your active profile. You don’t need to give a name or email — the conversation is a real thread in your Dashboard Messages, the confirmation links straight to it, and the recipient’s reply lands there with a notification. This is the best way to write to anyone, because the whole exchange stays in one place.
Not signed in — leave a way to reach you
Section titled “Not signed in — leave a way to reach you”Without an account you can still write to anyone. The form asks for:
| Field | Why |
|---|---|
| Your name | So the recipient knows who is writing. |
| The recipient answers you at this address. Replies inside the platform will also reach you by email once the email service launches. | |
| What is this about? | Shown when the profile offers topics — it helps them route your message to the right person. |
| Message | Up to 3,600 characters. |
Your message is delivered to the profile’s inbox as a request, and they are notified. The same browser is recognized if you write again, so follow-ups join the same conversation.
