Install the Dashboard on your phone

The United Pet Club Dashboard can be installed on your phone as an app, called United Pet Club Dashboard PWA. It gets its own icon on your home screen, the orange United Pet Club logo labelled UPC Panel PWA, and it opens full screen in its own window, without the browser’s address bar.

There is nothing to download from an app store: your phone’s browser installs it in a few taps, and it is always the current version.

  1. Open dashboard.unitedpetclub.com in Chrome and sign in.
  2. From your second visit on, a card asks Install United Pet Club Dashboard PWA. Tap Install, then Install again in Chrome’s own dialog.
  3. The app appears on your home screen and in your app list.

No card? Open Chrome’s menu (⋮) and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. You can also open your picture in the top corner and choose Install the app.

  1. Open dashboard.unitedpetclub.com in Safari and sign in. Chrome, Edge and Firefox on iPhone work too.
  2. Tap the Share button in the browser’s toolbar.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top corner.

The card on the Dashboard shows these same steps, and so does the Install the app page in your user menu.

Your iPhone keeps the installed app’s sign-in separate from Safari’s, so sign in once more the first time you open the app from your home screen.

Chrome and Edge can install the Dashboard too. Use the install icon at the end of the address bar, or open Install the app from your user menu and select Install.

Open your picture in the top corner of the Dashboard and choose Install the app. The page Get the app shows the right steps for the phone or computer you are on. Once you are using the installed app, the menu no longer shows this entry.

Select Not now on the card. It stays away for 30 days. Nothing changes if you never install the app: the Dashboard works the same in your browser.

The app needs a connection to show your pets, bookings and messages. Without one it shows You’re offline in your language, with a Try again button. Your pages are never stored on the phone.

The app updates itself. If a new version is ready right when you open it, it switches over right away — you’ll briefly see Updating for you and your pets. If a new version appears later, while you already have it open, a bar says A new version of the app is ready. Select Reload to switch to it. Either way, nothing is lost.

Signing out also clears what the app kept on the phone, so the next person to pick it up starts clean. It also turns off notifications on that phone.

Once the app is installed you can get alerts about your pets on your phone, even when the app is closed: see Turn on notifications. On an iPhone or iPad this works only in the installed app.

  • Android: press and hold the icon, then choose Uninstall (or drag it to Remove).
  • iPhone and iPad: press and hold the icon, choose Remove App, then Delete from Home Screen.

Removing the app does not affect your account.
