Find animals by breed
Every breed page on United Pet Club shows the animals members have registered for that breed — first as a short strip of profiles, then as a full list you can page through or search by name. You do not need an account to look.
Browse a breed’s animals
Section titled “Browse a breed’s animals”Open a breed — say Animals → Dog → Doberman Pinscher — and you will see Meet some of our Doberman Pinscher: a row of profiles you can scroll through. Under it, View all … profiles opens the complete list.
The list shows 24 profiles a page, newest first, with Previous / Next and numbered pages at the bottom. Each card shows the animal’s photo, its name, and whether it is male or female; animals that have died carry an In memory mark. Selecting a card opens that animal’s profile, with its pedigree, siblings and offspring.
If an animal has no photo of its own, the card falls back to a picture of the breed so the list still reads as a gallery.
What an animal’s profile shows
Section titled “What an animal’s profile shows”A profile opens with the animal’s photos. Each photo is shown whole rather than cropped to fit its tile, so a tall portrait is never trimmed at the head — you see what was uploaded.
Below the photos are the animal’s own facts, then its pedigree chart, then its family:
- Pedigree — the bloodline chart, three generations for visitors and five once you sign in.
Next to it sits the Pedigree COI, the coefficient of inbreeding worked out from that chart.
It needs at least three generations to mean anything, so an animal whose grandparents have not
been recorded shows Not enough data rather than a misleading
0.00%. - Siblings, Offspring and Relatives — one table each. Each row gives sex, relationship, sire and dam, birth and death dates, lifespan and cause of death where known, and the name links straight to that animal’s own profile. The profile shows the first twelve of each, oldest first, with the true count in the heading; a family longer than that continues on its own pages — See all 412 offspring → opens Offspring of {name}, twenty-four to a page, with the same table and Previous / Next paging as the breed listing. Every page is a real link you can share, print or search with your browser’s find.
Search by name
Section titled “Search by name”The search box at the top of the list looks only within the breed you are viewing, so a search on the Doberman page returns Dobermans and nothing else.
It matches any part of a name, and it looks at all three names an animal can have: its call name,
its registered (pedigree) name, and its UPC code. Searching rex therefore finds Rex de Maubrun,
Rexold, and Jerex Krisi alike. Case does not matter.
Results page exactly like the full list, and the address bar keeps your search — so you can bookmark it or send it to someone and they will see the same results. Clear search returns you to the whole breed.
If nothing matches, the page says so and offers you the full list; try a shorter piece of the name, or check the spelling. If a search does not come back in time, the page tells you that instead of pretending there were no matches — try it again in a moment.
- Search finds only animals registered on United Pet Club. A dog nobody has registered will not appear, however well known it is.
- Part of a name works better than all of it. Registered names are long and often include a kennel name you may not remember exactly.
- To look across breeds rather than within one, use the search at the top of the site.
