Advertising
United Pet Club keeps the platform free by showing a small number of clearly labelled Sponsored placements. As a member you can be on either side of that: run your own campaigns, or earn from the ads shown on your pages. Ads are never shown inside your Account settings, and the Dashboard only ever shows the club’s own announcements.
Advertising in the Dashboard menu: My Campaigns (/dashboard/ads), New Campaign
(/dashboard/ads/campaigns/new), Earn From Ads (/dashboard/ads/publisher) and
Unlock With Ads (/dashboard/ads/rewards).
Finding your campaigns
Section titled “Finding your campaigns”The top of My Campaigns sums up your advertiser account: Prepaid balance (with your daily cap, if one is set), Account status, Live campaigns out of your total, and Total spend.
Below it, every campaign is listed two ways — switch with the grid and list buttons on the right of the toolbar; the Dashboard remembers your choice on this device:
- Card view shows each campaign as a card: a coloured strip and badge for its status, the objective and category, how much of the total budget is spent (the bar turns amber past 80 % and red when the budget is used up), the bid, daily budget, number of creatives and the dates, with days left on a running campaign. Click a card to open the campaign.
- Table view shows the same campaigns in rows; click a column heading to sort by it.
To narrow the list:
- The status chips above the toolbar (All, Active, In review, Draft, Paused, Rejected, Completed…) each show a count; click one to show only those campaigns, and click it again to show all.
- Search campaigns matches the campaign name, its category, objective, status or the reviewer’s note.
- All objectives and All categories filter by objective and category.
- In card view, Newest sorts the cards; you can also sort by name, most spent, budget used or start date.
When a filter is on, Showing N of M appears with Clear filters to reset everything.
Running a campaign
Section titled “Running a campaign”- Open My Campaigns and, the first time, fill in Become an advertiser — advertiser name, contact email, website and billing currency. Campaigns and creatives live under this account.
- New Campaign is one form in sections:
- Basics — the campaign name, the Objective (pick a card: Awareness, Traffic or Conversion) and the Category.
- Budget and bidding — the Pricing model (CPM cost per thousand impressions,
CPC cost per click, CPA cost per action, or a Flat fee), then the Bid,
Total budget and Daily budget. Amounts are typed in your billing currency
(for example
0.35for 35 cents); leave a budget blank for no limit. - Schedule — start and end dates (blank runs as soon as the campaign is approved) and Max views per person per day.
- Destination — the Landing URL (a full
https://address or a path on United Pet Club) and optional UTM source, UTM medium and UTM campaign tags for your own analytics. - Targeting (optional) — Add rule, pick the kind (country, language, species, audience segment…), type the value and choose Include or Exclude. Rules of the same kind are either/or; different kinds must all match.
- Save campaign. The campaign page opens.
- On its Creatives tab, Add creative — the format, headline, body, call to action,
an optional locale (blank means every language) and an
https://image URL. The Preview beside the form shows roughly how the ad will look as you type. - Submit for review. Member campaigns are always reviewed; you will see Approved, Rejected or Changes requested, and the reviewer’s note on the campaign or creative.
Approved campaigns run between their dates while budget and your prepaid balance last, then complete on their own. Pause and Resume any time; Archive when you are done.
The campaign page shows Impressions, Clicks, CTR and Spend for the last 30 days at the top, then four tabs:
- Overview — a Daily performance chart (impressions as bars, clicks as a line) and a Summary of pricing, budgets, schedule, destination and targeting rules.
- Creatives — each creative as a preview card with its status; Retire stops using one.
- Performance — the chart plus a day-by-day table by placement and country, with viewable impressions and spend.
- Settings — the same form as New Campaign, to change the campaign.
Your ad is labelled Sponsored wherever it appears.
Earning from ads on your pages
Section titled “Earning from ads on your pages”Earn From Ads shows your enrollment status and share, what is Accruing, what is Available for payout (with the minimum payout) and whether the publisher program is open. Eligibility lists each rule (a verified profile, a minimum number of followers and distinct visitors, how long your profile has existed, recent activity) with what you have against what is required, Met or Not yet, and a bar showing how many you meet. Press Apply / re-check eligibility; once every rule is met you are enrolled and your share of revenue from eligible ads on your public profile and pet pages starts accruing. Earnings become Available for payout at the end of each period; Request payout once the minimum is reached. Leave the program stops new earnings; what you already earned stays.
If you run your own website, Register a website under Partner websites: add the domain
(just the name, like example.com: no https://, port or path; an IP address is not accepted),
prove you own it (a <meta name="upc-ads-site-verification"> tag on your home page or a DNS
TXT record), then paste the embed snippet shown there — each code block has a Copy
button. Ads on your site earn under the same program at the site rate.
Unlocking features by watching ads
Section titled “Unlocking features by watching ads”Some features can be opened for a while instead of purchased — Unlock With Ads lists the current offers (for example the full pedigree report for 24 hours after two short ads). Press Start, watch each ad until the counter shows {done} of {total} watched, and the feature opens immediately; the page tells you Unlocked until when it expires. Each offer has a cooldown and a daily limit.
Some rewarded ads come from partner ad networks rather than United Pet Club. For those the page shows Finish the ad — your reward is confirmed automatically: there is no button to press, because the ad network itself confirms to us that you finished, usually within a few seconds. Your progress updates on its own.
Earning credits with offers
Section titled “Earning credits with offers”When offerwalls are available, Unlock With Ads also shows Earn credits with offers — partner walls with tasks such as trying an app or answering a survey. Press Open next to a wall (it opens on the page or in a new tab), complete an offer there, and your credits are added automatically once the partner confirms the completion — this can take a few minutes, so you do not need to keep the wall open. If a partner later cancels a completion (for example a refunded purchase), the matching credits are removed again.
About the ads you see
Section titled “About the ads you see”Every sponsored unit carries a label — Sponsored, From United Pet Club or Affiliate — and a Why this ad? link. Personalised ads only appear if you accepted advertising cookies; otherwise you still see non-personalised placements. Use Report ad on any unit to tell us it is misleading, offensive, irrelevant or broken.
