Prepaid balance
Your business can keep a prepaid balance to pay United Pet Club’s own fees — for example Sales & Marketing usage, platform video, the Commission on bookings you mark as paid in cash, and the tax on them — instead of a separate card charge for each one. You never have to keep one: your fees still come out of your payouts first. The balance is used only when there is no payout to take them from, before your card on file is charged.
Finances → Billing (/dashboard/finances/billing), the Prepaid balance card under Platform fees. One card
per currency you are billed in. It shows only on a business profile (a business or place, or a profile that offers
services or uses Sales & Marketing). Purchases for your family’s pets, such as a microchip registration, are always
paid by card and never use the balance.
| Item | What it is |
|---|---|
| Balance | money you added that has not been used yet |
| Refundable | what you would get back if you asked for a refund now |
| Fees owed now | fees waiting to be paid; your balance pays them first, so that part is not refundable |
| The bar | your balance against the most a balance can hold (Holds up to $1,000.00). With auto top-up on, a mark shows where it tops up |
Adding funds
Section titled “Adding funds”- Under Add funds, pick $50, $100, $200 or $500. During your first 30 days the larger amounts are not offered yet: the card says Up to $100.00 a top-up until (date).
- Choose Add $50.00 (the button shows your amount).
- Enter your card in the secure form and confirm with Pay $50.00. Your card is saved for later top-ups.
- You see Confirming your payment…, then Funds added. Your balance updates in a moment.
Unused money is refundable to the card that paid it. There is no tax on adding funds: fees and their tax come out of the balance as they are charged. A balance holds up to $1,000; when it is full the card says Your balance is at the most it can hold.
Auto top-up
Section titled “Auto top-up”With Auto top-up on, whenever your balance (less what you already owe) drops below $10, we charge your card on file the amount you picked — $50, $100, $200 or $500 — at most 3 times a day.
- Pick the amount each top-up adds.
- Read the text under it: it says exactly what you agree to — the amount, when it is charged, how often at most, that the balance pays only United Pet Club’s own fees and their tax, that unused balance can be refunded, and how to switch it off.
- Switch Auto top-up on. If your balance is already low, the first top-up happens right away.
The card then says On since (date): we add $100.00 whenever your balance drops below $10.00. You need a card on file to switch it on. If a top-up is declined or your card is removed, auto top-up switches itself off and the card tells you why. Switch it off at any time.
How your fees were paid
Section titled “How your fees were paid”The table How your fees were paid shows, for each recent month, your Fees and what paid them: From payouts, From balance, Platform credit (credit our team gave you) and Card.
Activity
Section titled “Activity”Open Activity to see the latest movements: Added, Added by auto top-up, Paid fees, Fee given back to your balance (a fee your balance paid came back, for example after a refund to your customer), Refunded to your card, Refund on its way and Adjusted by our team.
Getting your money back
Section titled “Getting your money back”- Choose Refund (the button shows the amount, for example Refund $138.00).
- Read what happens: We’ll refund $138.00 to the card that paid for it, newest top-up first. You get the full amount back. Auto top-up switches off.
- Confirm with Refund $138.00. You see Refunded $138.00 to your card. Your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 business days.
If the refund does not go through, the money stays on your balance (The refund didn’t go through. The money is still on your balance.) and you can try again later.
If something went wrong
Section titled “If something went wrong”“Prepaid balance is for business profiles”. You are acting as your family’s profile. Switch to your business profile and try again.
“That amount can’t be added”. Pick one of the amounts shown: a new balance takes smaller top-ups for its first month, and a balance holds up to $1,000.
“Nothing to refund”. Your balance has been spent, is needed for fees you owe, or was added while your account was on prepaid billing.
