Email campaigns

Email campaigns are a Partner perk (and included in Pro): marketing email — offers, news, seasonal reminders — to the clients in your client book, within your monthly allowance, with consent, identification and unsubscribe handled for you. Open Email → Campaigns in the Dashboard. Not a Partner yet? The page shows your progress toward the threshold — see Becoming a Partner.

Partners get, every month, the larger of 1,000 sends per location and 2 sends per client active in the last 24 months across the brand. A one-location salon with 300 active clients gets 1,000; with 800 it gets 1,600; three locations get at least 3,000. Pro plans get 5,000 per unit instead; whichever is larger applies. The meter at the top of the page shows what is used, reserved by scheduled campaigns and still available, and the date it resets. Need more? Extra sends are sold as credits that stack on top.

Open Settings and fill in your legal or business name and mailing address — the law requires both in the footer of every marketing email. Set a From name, a Reply-to address, your logo and brand colour if you want the branded layout.

  1. New campaign → give it a name (for you) and a subject (what clients see), optionally a short preview text.
  2. Audience: Every client with a valid consent, or one of your saved segments (for example “VIP” or “Dogs due for a groom”). The card on the right shows exactly how many people will receive it and why the others are left out — no email on file, no valid consent, unsubscribed. See Consent and CASL for what “valid consent” means.
  3. Layout: Simple, Branded (your logo and colour) or Minimal.
  4. Write in the studio. You can put {{firstName}} in the text and each client gets their own name. The footer (your name, address, unsubscribe link) is added for you and cannot be removed.
  5. Preview renders the exact email with sample data.

Schedule sends now or at a chosen time. The audience is locked in at that moment and its sends are reserved from your allowance; anyone who unsubscribes before the send is still left out.

When the audience is larger than your allowance

Section titled “When the audience is larger than your allowance”

If the audience needs more sends than you have left this month, the campaign is not scheduled yet. The dialog tells you the shortfall — for example, “This audience needs 3,300 sends but 1,000 are left this month — 2,300 short.” You can:

  • narrow the audience, or wait for the reset on the 1st;
  • press Buy extra sends, which opens Finances → Add-ons with the campaign email pack ready to buy;
  • on Pro, press Send anyway. The dialog first shows what the extra emails add to your plan’s next bill and on what date — at the email pack’s price, $2 per 1,000, so 2,300 extra emails come to about $4.60. Nothing is billed until you press Send anyway, and you decide again for each campaign.

After Send anyway the whole campaign is scheduled: your allowance and packs cover what they can, and the rest goes on your plan’s bill. The campaign page then says how many of its emails are billed on your plan. How and when that bill is charged is on Pro plan and add-ons.

Without Pro, the dialog says “With Pro, e-mails past your allowance can go on your next plan bill instead.” If an earlier bill for extra emails was not paid, Send anyway is turned off for your business and the dialog says so — buy a pack instead. It is also unavailable while your plan’s payment is overdue, or when the plan has no card on file.

A scheduled campaign can be cancelled until it starts sending: the reserved sends come back, and any emails that were going on your plan’s bill are taken off it. Sending takes a few minutes for a few hundred clients and up to an hour for several thousand.

Once sent, the campaign page shows sent, delivered, opened, clicked, unsubscribed, bounced and marked as spam, refreshed as the numbers come in. Each client’s record also shows the campaigns they received.

Sending reputation and the automatic pause

Section titled “Sending reputation and the automatic pause”

The reputation card tracks your last 30 days: how many marketing emails went out, the share that bounced and the share recipients marked as spam. Sending pauses automatically when more than 0.3% of recipients mark a campaign as spam or more than 5% bounce — this protects your deliverability and every other business on the platform. A paused campaign shows why; contact support to review and resume. To stay well under the thresholds: import only clients who know you, keep the list current, write subjects that match the content, and do not email people who have not visited in a long time.
