Take a Course

Courses on United Pet Club are offered by breeders, groomers, trainers, vets, rescues and other members — everything from a short seminar to a full multi-week course with exams and a certificate at the end.

Every course has a public page describing the instructor, the outline, the schedule (if it runs in groups) and the price, if any.

  • Free courses — press Enroll and you’re in.
  • Paid courses — buy the course like any other item; your enrollment is created automatically as soon as the purchase completes. If you’re refunded, the enrollment is withdrawn — unless you had already completed the course, in which case you keep it and your certificate.
  • Full courses — if a group run has a seat limit and it’s full, you can join the waitlist. Seats are given out in the order people joined it, and you’re notified when yours opens.

Some courses have prerequisites — a prior course, or a credential — shown on the course page.

Your enrolled courses live in My Courses. Open one and you get the course player: chapters and lessons in the sidebar, your progress bar at the top, and each lesson’s text, video and materials in the middle. Video remembers where you stopped, so you resume mid-lesson, not from the start.

One thing to know: the course you enrolled in is the course you keep. If the instructor later revises the material, your version, quizzes and pass marks stay exactly as they were when you enrolled — updates never move the goalposts mid-course.

Self-paced courses may give you a set number of days from enrollment; group runs end on the run’s end date; many courses have no deadline at all. If yours has one, you’ll see a countdown in the player and get reminders a week and a day before. An enrollment past its deadline expires — you can usually re-enroll to start fresh.

Quizzes and exams open right in the course player, with any time limit shown up front. Attempt limits are enforced per assessment — the player shows how many tries you have left.

Choice and number questions are scored the instant you submit. Written answers are graded by the instructor (sometimes assisted by AI suggestions the instructor reviews and confirms), so those results can take a little longer — your attempt shows as being graded until then. Your course grade combines your quiz and exam scores using the weights the instructor set, and required assessments must be passed for the course to count as completed.

If your course includes live sessions, you’ll find the schedule in the player and on your calendar, with reminders before each one. Depending on the course you’ll join right in the page, or through a meeting link (Zoom, Teams or Google Meet).

Missed one? If the session was recorded, the recording is attached to the lesson afterwards and you can watch it there — for most courses, watching the recording counts as attendance.

If the course awards one, your Certificate of Completion (or of Attendance) is issued automatically the moment you finish — no need to request it. It’s made out in your name, with the course title, the date and your final score, and it lands in your notifications as well as your certificate list, where you can download the PDF.

Every certificate carries a code and QR that anyone can use to confirm it’s genuine on the United Pet Club website — so it keeps its meaning printed, framed or attached to an application years from now.
